FUT hair transplants

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and hair transplantsinvolves a technique where a thin strip of healthy hair-bearing skin(Donor Site), from a 'permanent' area of the scalp (where hair is genetically programmed to continue growing for life) is harvested and transplanted to an area of hair loss ('non-permanent area').

The procedure begins by numbing the donor area at the back of the scalp. Then, tiny incisions are made and grafts containing 1 to 4 hair follicles are extracted. These grafts are placed into a solution to keep them healthy until they are transplanted.

Next, small incisions are made in the balding recipient areas. The grafts are then placed into these slits, and sutures are used to secure them. The grafts will start growing hair within a few weeks as they establish a blood supply from the scalp.

FUT hair transplants are best for covering large balding areas because a large number of grafts can be harvested in one procedure, The recovery time is around 2 to 4 weeks while the transplanted hairs settle in,While results vary by patient, most people see noticeable hair regrowth within 6 to 12 months after the procedure.
